My homeless guy team did not make the first cut for the Jacobsville, IN mural project. What a disappointment.
Plan B: To find a vacant house in downtown Evansville we can embellish like the Heidelberg Project. See my Tweet:

Collaborative print created by UCS Transitional Housing/ArtSpeak participants, April 2014
This is a very large, collaborative relief print created by me and two guys from United Caring Services who went the distance with my pilot arts empowerment program ArtSpeak. It was a true collaboration too — the foam print surfaces are by homeless folks who dropped in at Art at the Annex last fall, children at the local art/science museum at Thanksgiving, and us this spring. The best moment was the first print by the guy who had never done printmaking before. His hands shook. But before long he was printing with both confidence and precision.
Trust, mixed media on paper, 2012
Two of my recent empowering arts productions will be in the Inspired By Women Exhibition at Deaconess’ Women’s Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
The exhibit runs from May 15 through June 13, and the reception for artists will be held on the third floor of the facility, from 5-7:30 p.m. on May 15. Hope to see you there!
